Safe Boating Video in Schools (May 18, 2005)

An attentive audience of grade two's and three's at Mary Queen of Peace Elementary today, as a new video promoting boating safety was shown for the first time. The video, Boating Safety With Pukta, tells children what precautions to take when going boating, and how to stay safe. Pukta the Polar Bear is the star of the show, sporting his own oversized life jacket. Harry Blackmore of the province's Search and Rescue Association says it appears the video, produced along with the Office Of Boating Safety, is a big hit.
