Group Urging Safe Boating (May 19, 2005)

Many people will take to the water for the first time in 2005 this long holiday weekend, and the Office of Boating Safety hopes they practice safe boating habits. A new video, aimed at children, has been produced to prompt young people to make sure their parents do the right thing.

It is a joint project with the Search and Rescue Association. Spokesperson Sharon Sellars says they hope it helps keep boaters out of trouble.
