Annual Office of Boating Safety—NLSARA Workshop

On March 18, 2005 the Office of Boating Safety and NLSARA held their Annual Workshop at the Capital Hotel in St. John’s.

This year things were set up a bit different from previous years and will set the template for future years.

It was our first time having the “Workshop” idea. All 27 teams, with their respective Boating Safety Officer (BSO), went into breakout sessions with the intent of developing a work plan for the upcoming year, which would include any community or association events, safety presentations, Pukta requirements, and any training and support that would be required throughout the year, either through the BSO or Regional Office. The BSO’s then, on behalf of their respective teams, gave an overview of their session.

We’ve had a lot of positive feedback and can proudly say, the Workshop was a great success!
